Four weeks ago McAlister Kemp got the call that Billy Ray Cyrus was unable to make his scheduled appearance at CMC Rocks the Hunter and they were happy to take the slot on the main stage, prior to Saturday nights’ headliners Big and Rich.

CMC Rocks the Hunter being the only international Country Music Festival in Australia, gives artist a chance to meet other acts who they may not have otherwise worked with. Friendships are formed and collaborations come together over a cold beer.

They played a killer set to a roaring crowd. Unbeknown to the boys John Rich was watching their set from the side of stage and was blown away. This all lead to the invitation of a lifetime. Rich has asked McAlister Kemp to perform as featured artist at an annual charity event, held at his home in Nashville, known as Mount Richmore on April 28.

John Rich is a bona fide country music superstar, song writer and producer. During his winning stint on Celebrity Apprentice, he brought worldwide attention to the work of the charity he was competing for, St Judes Children’s Research Hospital. Rich’s work with this worthy charity wasn’t limited to his time on the show. He continues to raise money and awareness for their amazing work.

St Judes was founded by Danny Thomas to advance cures, and means of prevention, for paediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent Thomas’s vision for the hospital, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.

Multi award winning McAlister Kemp have one last gig to play on their Country Proud Tour, this Saturday at Rooty Hill RSL and after that all thoughts turn towards Nashville. They will stay on after the gig to collaborate with some of the best song-writers in Nashville, while they continue to work on album #3.

The pending trip will top off what has been an amazing 6 months with Aria and Golden Guitar nominations, opening the Golden Guitar award ceremony, winning Australian Video of the year at the CMC Awards and playing as featured artists in front of a star studded audience at the Jack Newton Celebrity Golf Classic.

The guys can’t wait to jump on stage in front of the who’s who of Nashville and show off the new face and sound of Australian country music. Proving why the boys are so ‘Country Proud’.

CMC really does ROCK. Check out the website for more details. www.mcalisterkemp.com

SAMI, a local 17yr old Singer/Songwriter is organising her own album funding sponsorship drive to support the total cost of her album.

Her new video clip has had a great response so please support her and take a look.

Currently she is recording her album of orginal tunes at the Derwent Studio in Canberra. This will be released in January 2014 to coincide with the Tamworth Country Music festival and her album tour.

‘Click of her Fingers’ SAMI’s new single, is receiving good airplay and has been heard on radio stations throughout Australia. Thanks to the overseas connections of some radio stations 'Click of her Fingers' has been heard on Australian Showcase in Nashville, South Africa, Europe and she even had an email so say it was heard on radio in India! She has just received a request to forward the track to Australian DJ’s working in New York City.

SAMI has given many interviews around the country and America (Alabama), about her music.

Apart from all of her other commitments (she also runs her own radio show!) SAMI has just joined up as a fundraiser for Autism Spectrum Australia for regional areas, something she is passionate about and feels people need to be more aware of in schools around the country.

SAMI has won numerous awards for both her Singing and Songwriting, visit her website for more information
