‘Doors & Windows’ the new radio single from Jackie Dee, is a self-penned metaphor for endings and new beginnings. Award-winning Matt Fell is back in the producer’s chair along with musicians from both Sydney and Nashville.
The single is also the title track from Jackie’s second studio album released in February and features all original tracks from the artist who started her career in a school pop rock band lending vocals and keyboards. Jackie calls her original music ‘coastal country’. Based in Helensburgh NSW, where the bush meets the sea, Jackie finds great inspiration from the surrounding landscapes and this is reflected in her captivating lyrics.
The left-handed guitarist balances her days with music, her work as a family relationship counsellor and being a mother and wife. Following a period of separation from her husband, she freely admits that many songs on the new album deal with that emotionally tough time and is happy to share that since reuniting four years ago they are a stronger and happier team.
Growing up listening to her Dad’s Cash, Campbell and CCR albums, Jackie utilised an increasing trend with independent artists called ‘crowd funding’ for this project where family and friends pre-order the album, in order to help get their music out sooner rather than later.

Pop music's blue-eyed, blonde-haired tween Queen Taylor Swift will return to Australia this December for a series of ambitious stadium shows as part of her worldwide tour to promote her album Red.
American Swift, 23, who has sold an estimated 26 million albums and won seven Grammy Awards, will open her Australian tour at Sydney's Allianz Stadium on December 4, before playing at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium on December 7, Melbourne's Etihad Stadium on December 14 - all of which hold over 45,000 fans.
She will also play NIB Stadium in Perth on December 11. If she sells out these venues, Swift can be expected to add extra shows to her tour.
Her album Red topped the album charts here, as did her previous record, Speak Now, although it's been a while since she's had a number one single here: Love Story in 2008.

A statement from promoter Mushroom promised Swift would perform on "multi-level stages", change costume 10 times and play several instruments during a spectacular show. Tickets will be priced "from $85", more expensive than in the US, where she vowed to keep tickets "under $50" for the North American leg of her Red tour.
The country-pop crossover artist toured Australia in March last year and in February 2010, playing at large indoor venues on both tours.
Swift has become almost as well known for her high-profile relationships as her music, dating a conveyor belt of stars including Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner, John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Conor Kennedy and most recently One Direction's Harry Styles.

Thank God I’m A Cowboy is the second release from Doug’s third self-produced album Made That Way, released January 2013 and receiving high acclaim from all reviewers. The video clip, featuring scenes from Doug and his band’s recent performance at CMC Rocks The Hunter, takes the audience on a special journey, portraying the public and the personal side of a musician’s life … the push of the road and the pull of home.
Doug contends, “I don’t think it’s written anywhere that a cowboy has to wear the big hat and spurs and ride a horse. To me the cowboy in this song is used as an analogy for freedom and the courage to chose your own destiny - to determine which path you’re going to head down and just get on with it”.
Thank God I’m A Cowboy is one of those unassuming, big ballads that will take hold of you right from the first bar. The haunting baritone guitar is complemented perfectly by Doug’s rich vocal tones. Written by Doug’s co-writer and friend Bill Shore (Sweet, A Good Place), David Wills and Adam Fears, the lyrics will resonate with anyone who has fought to make the right decisions in life and to just keep moving on.
For the first time, award-winning country artist Amber Lawrence and label-mate, X-Factor 2012 runner-up, Jason Owen join together for the Islands in the Stream tour, the title of their duet single released last month. Their youthful interpretation of this all-time classic by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton is the perfect inspiration behind their joint national tour. It also marks the release of Jason’s debut album Life Is A Highway which debuted at #5 on the ARIA Album chart and #1 on the i-Tunes Country Chart first week out.
It’s both their love of country music and the audiences that have brought them together while both coming from different “islands in the stream”. Amber hails from Sydney and Jason grew up in small town of 12 called Albert in regional NSW. This two-hour show will feature Jason and Amber performing with their touring band, their own hits and songs as well as special duets throughout the show.
Amber is known as one of the hardest working artists in the industry and it has certainly been paying off with 13 single releases all of which have been Top 5 radio favourites including seven #1’s. She has more than 10 awards to her name including the Tamworth Telstra Horizon Award at the 2011 Golden Guitars and was nominated in the Female Artist of the Year category at this year’s Golden Guitars. Amber will perform some of her fan favourites such as Wrecking Ball, Good Girls, Don’t Do Lonely Well, Women Like Me and from her latest album “3”, Everybody’s A Mess, Man Across the Street and Try. Throughout the tour Amber will continue to promote her 3rd album which will see the fourth single released in August.
At 19 years of age, Life Is A Highway marks the start of a new journey for Jason, who has moved from his small country town to Sydney and is now ready to embrace a full-time career as a recording and performing artist. Life Is A Highway features songs such as Always On My Mind, Against The Wind, If Tomorrow Never Comes, and Sweet Home Alabama to name a few. The album’s collection of songs - which are eclectic in genre - are all connected by the beauty of Jason’s unique voice, and fans will now be able to experience it live.

‘Let’s Stay In’, the follow-up single to ‘Thrills ‘N’ Spills’ from The Brook Chivell Band is about the trials and tribulations of a modern relationship. Most couples can relate to finding the time in their busy schedules for some precious moments together.
The third single from the band that calls Melbourne home, was written by guitarist/lead vocalist Brook and guitarist/backing vocalist Anthony Emery and after two country rock singles, this proves the band isn’t afraid of showing their more sensitive side on the emotional ballad.
“So let’s stay in tonight, everything’s gonna be alright, we can hide under the covers, perfect lovers, ‘til the morning light, baby you’re all I need, so let’s stay in tonight,”
Chivell & Emery, Let’s Stay In, 2011
Working with Ross Wood of 171 Entertainment for the first time, the video clip was partly shot at a farmhouse in Victoria and also at band mate Paul Gales’ house. Take a look at the video clip here: http://youtu.be/PxnPTHqwHq4
The Brook Chivell Band - drummer Ray Deegan, guitarist Paul Gales, bassist Dan Meiners, acoustic guitarist/BVs Anthony Emery and lead vocalist/guitarist Brook – still relatively new to country music but they have collectively played over 10,000 gigs in and around Melbourne. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2011.
