Gord’s Comin’ Home and Larry’s Rockin Rodeo Roadshow
THURSDAY 24TH JANUARY at BLAZES TAMWORTH - MIDNIGHT + 2013 Tour Between Two T's
Award winning KIX Country radio dj and singer songwriter and former pro rodeo cowboy Larry Cann has joined forces with one of Canada’s biggest country artists Gord Bamford for a tour run starting at Tamworth 2013.
Gord says, "I can't wait to perform my kind of kickin straight ahead country to my 2nd home, Australia and catch up with family and friends and brand new fans" Larry adds, "I have been promoting the lifestyle I have grew up in on radio and through my affiliation with the sport of rodeo since I came home from the USA in 1999. Now its time to kick it with the Rockin Rodeo Road shows. This will be fun with your boots on!".
The first big show will be at Blazes, Tamworth at midnight Thursday evening January 24th. This will be an 18+ show and for rodeo competitors if they show their rodeo membership card when they purchase their ticket they will receive $5 off.
Larry and Gord will also be making guest appearances performing at the ABCRA Rodeo Finals being held at the AELEC stadium during intermission on Thursday the 24th and Friday the 25th of January.
Larry Cann has a passion for country music. This is fuelled by a life rich in experiences, from the farm in Chinchilla, Qld to an international career as a professional bull rider and bareback rider. Plus his own musical endeavours, including playing in a band during his time in the USA for almost 10years after high school.
Larry is also a graduate of the Hank Thompson School of Country Music in Claremore, Oklahoma the only Australian ever to study there in 1991. Larry is now based in Bundaberg, Qld and combines radio, rodeo and performing and that’s his life in a nutshell. Larry released Rodeo Road in 2009 12 buckin’ tracks and now he has just released a brand new 6 pack CD called Rodeo Ready featuring new rodeo flavoured tracks and including the hot new soon to be released version of “Mama’s Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys” with Gord Bamford.
Gord Bamford was born in Traralgon, Victoria, Australia. At age 5, Gord and his mother moved from Australia to Lacombe, Alberta, Canada after his parents divorced. It was Gord’s mother who encouraged his musical career—and it’s paid off!

Clancy is a relative newcomer to the country music scene, having recorded his debut album “ Drive “ in Jan 2012. He has spent his life living and working in the bush as everything from a drover to an interstate truck driver and most things in between, as well as a few short stints living and working in the city. This wealth of experience soon shows when you listen to his music. “ Drive “ is a top shelf production, and with musicians such as Charley Boyter, Lawrie Minson, Hugh Curtis, Mark Rigney, Tony Wagner, Lindsay Waddington, Jamie Davis and Clancy himself, as well as backing vocals from Tyson Coleman, this is one album that will not disappoint !
Clancy’s Forte of songs include bush ballads such as “ Old Mates “ and “ Let em’ Go” that speak of a love of the bush and all that goes with it, to Intimate love songs such as “ A Walk in the Rain” which could only be written through experience. There’s songs that will make you laugh, songs that will make you tap your foot , and songs such as his current single “ Drive” with powerful guitar riffs that will bring out the air guitarist in all of us !
Clancy has been a regular Favourite at local clubs and music festivals, as well as making the yearly trip to Tamworth and other Annual festivals throughout Australia. His genuine, down to earth manner, as well as his unique writing and performing style, is fast earning him respect among his peers, and growing number of fans. His music can be heard all over Australian airwaves, as well as stations in the USA, UK, Denmark and Ireland to name a few.
No matter what walk of life you are from, there is a fair chance you will be able to relate to Clancy’s music, and there is no doubt the name “ Clancy” will be heard throughout country music circles for many years to come !

The Beggars find that space between the ancient tones of folk music and the sounds of modern Australia. Renee Stuart and Quinton all have a strong connection to the Australian land.
Renee was born on the family farm in Esperance in Western Australia. When her family was forced off the land by hard times her grand dad went back to cattle droving on horseback. A trade he had learned as a boy in Queensland. Her dad went to work driving long haul trucks.
Quinton and Stuart have also done their time on the road. They paid their dues over many years in touring bands traveling from the big cities to the country towns and outback communities often playing 300 shows a year in all kinds of venues from pubs, schools, community halls, theatres and when they were way off the beaten track they would set their show up on the red earth its self. When they were finished with the touring life they returned to Adelaide where they met Renee and formed The Beggars in 2006.
Their Aussie sound caught the ears of European DJs who introduced them to millions of listeners putting the band on top 10 charts across the E.U. Their stage presence and style have taken them around the world and continues to gain them fans in many countries. If you want to catch the band in Adelaide before we go we have a free show on Tuesday night at The Marion Cultural Centre.

He shared song of the year with his wife, fellow singer Miranda Lambert, for their ballad Over You.

His last album, Red River Blue, was released in July 2011, however he has seen his profile and popularity soar since appearing on NBC's The Voice.
"Man! Entertainer of the year? What are you talking about?" he said.
"I know I am not out there on the road as much. I don't know how this happened. I know I have a side job, but country music is still what I love doing."
Lambert also won female vocalist of the year for a third successive time.
Between them, the husband and wife team took home a third of all the awards on offer.

"Can you believe we were singing for tips for eight years down on Broadway and now we've won this award? It's one of the most wonderful nights of our lives so far," Keifer Thompson told reporters backstage.
Despite being nominated for three awards, Swift left empty-handed.
The ceremony - hosted by Carrie Underwood and Paisley, also saw performances by Swift, Dierks Bentley, The Band Perry, Aldean, the Zac Brown Band and Kelly Clarkson.
