Gord’s Comin’ Home and Larry’s Rockin Rodeo Roadshow
THURSDAY 24TH JANUARY at BLAZES TAMWORTH - MIDNIGHT + 2013 Tour Between Two T's
Award winning KIX Country radio dj and singer songwriter and former pro rodeo cowboy Larry Cann has joined forces with one of Canada’s biggest country artists Gord Bamford for a tour run starting at Tamworth 2013.
Gord says, "I can't wait to perform my kind of kickin straight ahead country to my 2nd home, Australia and catch up with family and friends and brand new fans" Larry adds, "I have been promoting the lifestyle I have grew up in on radio and through my affiliation with the sport of rodeo since I came home from the USA in 1999. Now its time to kick it with the Rockin Rodeo Road shows. This will be fun with your boots on!".
The first big show will be at Blazes, Tamworth at midnight Thursday evening January 24th. This will be an 18+ show and for rodeo competitors if they show their rodeo membership card when they purchase their ticket they will receive $5 off.
Larry and Gord will also be making guest appearances performing at the ABCRA Rodeo Finals being held at the AELEC stadium during intermission on Thursday the 24th and Friday the 25th of January.
Larry Cann has a passion for country music. This is fuelled by a life rich in experiences, from the farm in Chinchilla, Qld to an international career as a professional bull rider and bareback rider. Plus his own musical endeavours, including playing in a band during his time in the USA for almost 10years after high school.
Larry is also a graduate of the Hank Thompson School of Country Music in Claremore, Oklahoma the only Australian ever to study there in 1991. Larry is now based in Bundaberg, Qld and combines radio, rodeo and performing and that’s his life in a nutshell. Larry released Rodeo Road in 2009 12 buckin’ tracks and now he has just released a brand new 6 pack CD called Rodeo Ready featuring new rodeo flavoured tracks and including the hot new soon to be released version of “Mama’s Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys” with Gord Bamford.
Gord Bamford was born in Traralgon, Victoria, Australia. At age 5, Gord and his mother moved from Australia to Lacombe, Alberta, Canada after his parents divorced. It was Gord’s mother who encouraged his musical career—and it’s paid off!
