Baylou are sister duo Victoria and Barb Baillie. Victoria Baillie was a Golden Guitar winner for Best New Talent at the 2010 Country Music Awards and has already achieved a string of successful tunes and video clips. Barb Baillie has had a successful solo career and now shares the limelight with her sister. Working together as “Baylou” they produce a powerful sound and make an exciting addition to the Australian Country Music scene.

In 2012, Baylou’s debut single ‘Target On My Heart’ went all the way to #1 on the CMC Top 30 Countdown, as well as peaking at #3 on the National Country Airplay chart. And their most recent single ‘Novocaine’ also made the Top #5 on CMC as well as being a Top #10 Country Radio single.

Baylou’s debut album Go To Hell & I Love You scored a #6 ARIA Country Chart and #2 ARIA Australian Country Artists chart result when released in March 2013. The album was also recently nominated for BEST COUNTRY ALBUM at the 2013 AIR Awards.

Go To Hell & I Love You’s latest single ‘These Lips’, was written by Barb Baillie, Victoria Baillie and hit songwriter Ira Dean, and sees Barb take lead vocals for the first time on a Baylou single.

“We are super happy with the way this song turned out on the album. We wrote it with the famous Ira Dean (from Trick Pony). Not only is he very talented he is also creative and quick witted. The track is very rootsy and swampy which is exactly how we wanted it to be portrayed. We have a lot of fun when we deliver this song live…. it’s so catchy and by the end the audience is singing along with us,” says Baylou.

Baylou won the 2012 Commercial Radio Australia New Artist To Nashville Award - an award determined by prominent Australian Country industry professionals. This meant they were given the opportunity to perform at the Australian Commercial Radio Awards last October and then represent Australian Country Music at the 2013 CMA Global Artist Party in Nashville.

And it’s that event in Nashville, along with other festival highlights, including action from Craig Campbell’s Celebrity Cornhole event during the CMA Music Festival, that feature in the track’s new music video. Campbell (currently in the Billboard Top 20 US Country Singles Chart with ‘Outta My Head’) invited the girls to perform at the event after seeing them play at the 2013 Tamworth Country Music Festival. The video also features some other special cameos. Take a look at their new video clip 'These Lips'
