A week after release, Liam Brew’s 2nd album “Faster”, has debuted at #20 on the ARIA Australian Artist Country Albums Chart. "To make the ARIA chart in the first week of release as an independent artist is such a thrill. Especially considering how much hard work we've all put into this album, it's a nice reward and makes me incredibly proud", says the Brisbane-based artist.
The 10 track album release was produced by good mate, Rusty Crook in Sydney and on the NSW Central Coast, features three self-penned tracks and a duet with current Toyota Star Maker Kaylee Bell – the pair have recorded ‘Is It Raining At Your House?’ – the Vern Gosdin written track which was previously released by Brad Paisley.
“Faster” is the follow-up to the debut album “Wild Heart” as part of Liam’s prize when he was named Toyota Star Maker in January 2009. Since then the College Of Country Music graduate has been asked to join some of Australia’s finest in concert – Adam Brand, James Blundell, The Sunny Cowgirls, Lee Kernaghan and The McClymonts. Opening the inaugural CMC Rocks The Hunter festival and sharing the bill with US superstars Alan Jackson, Joe Nichols & Jack Ingram plus Aussie heavyweights Kasey Chambers & Troy Cassar-Daley was a career highlight.
Liam is currently on a short break from The Turn The Page Tour – featuring fellow Toyota Star Maker alumni Travis Collins, Luke Austen and Luke Dickens. The tour was born after the four artists performed the Bob Seger classic of the same name to 10,000 people over two shows at the 2013 Tamworth Country Music Festival. The tour resumes this Thursday July 11th at Lizotte’s Newcastle, NSW, followed by Club Taree on Friday July 12th, Grafton District Services Club on Saturday July 13th and Fitzy’s at Loganholme/Brisbane on Sunday July 14th. “Former Star Maker winner Liam Brew's album “Faster” is full of tracks that are well written, true to himself, and still very Australian. A great album from a passionate independent musician, proudly backing his own horse. Buy it.” – Ben Sorensen, Host/Content Director @ REAL Country
