This would have to be one of the BIGGEST 'Urban-Country' festivals around!!

The Urban Country Music Festival epitomising the unique Queensland town Caboolture, is a little bit urban and a little bit country.

Each May long weekend, the small town only 45 minutes north of Brisbane, opens its gates to 35,000 day visitors geared up for four days of the nation’s hottest country artists, free concerts and events daily.

Boasting a new festival precinct in 2011 including the Caboolture Historical Village, Caboolture Showgrounds and Alexander Parr Sporting Complex with camping only a stone’s throw away – it will be a weekend not to be missed.

Family favourite Urban Blaze has a new role in 2011 – to open the festival in true country style on Friday Night. The festival is pleased to welcome back country superstars Jetty Road to kick up some dust along with crackling bonfires, fire twirling, tough of nails competition and a fireworks extravaganza.

Festival favourites including the Beaut Ute Show, Bush Poets, Bluegrass Brunch, line-dancing, clogging, New Zealand Showcase, Stockman’s Arena and Voice of Urban Talent Search will be returning in 2011.

Grammy Nominated heart throb – Joe Nichols from USA (hits include ‘Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off’, ‘Gimme That Girl’ and ‘The Impossible’) will set hearts racing when he takes to the stage at the Saturday Night Concert. Joe will be supported by James Reyne, The McClymonts, Jonah’s Road and the 2011 Toyota Starmaker.

The festival is also welcoming a Friday Night Rodeo, Urban Country Tribute Show to legends Slim Dusty and Johnny Cash, and for those that enjoy other types of music, Sunday Night Concert (headlined by Evermore, The Potbelleez, Thirsty Merc, Amy Meredith and Sinead Burgess) is for you.

Early-bird tickets and packages (including camping) are on sale now until 31 January, 2011. Be sure to pick up a bargain and go in the draw to win a Jonah’s Road prize pack including a personal visit by Jay, John and Rodney over the festival weekend, signed CD and Urban Country shirt.
