33RD TOYOTA STAR MAKER WINNER ANNOUNCED!! .... BOB CORBETT. When BOB CORBETT chose his songs to perform at this year’s Toyota Star Maker he clearly got it right. He was announced the 33rd winner of the prestigious competition and will release one of the performed songs as his first single as the Toyota Star Maker winner. The single LUCKY COUNTRY sends a message that unites with our emotions and consciousness in a positive way. It wakes us up to what is really central to us. Lucky Country will make you feel good.

Lucky Country is the title track from his fourth album of the same name recorded with his Roo Grass Band – Dave Carter, Sue Carson, Robbie Long and Ngariki. As an accomplished solo performer, Bob has received nine 1233 ABC Music Awards including Best Country Song (two times), the APRA and ABC Music Publishing Songwriter Recognition Award, Broadcasters Choice and the 1233 Tour support prize. In 2009 he received the $10,000 Contemporary Music Touring Program Grant from the Australian Government and six Top 10 nominations at the 2011 Australian Songwriters Awards. He recently received three nominations in the recent Victorian and National Country Music Awards.

Bob Corbett wrote Lucky Country on Boxing Day after spending a Christmas listening to people complaining about the state of Australia. Their comments really bugged him.
