Hello again,

THE CARTWHEELS

We have some big shows coming up at the Pascoe Vale RSL over the next few weeks, starting with The Cartwheels gig this Friday night (March 16th).

It’s been several years since they played for us so here is an update. They were judged to be the hit of last year’s Wandong Country Music Festival. Expect another great night of country music.

Wendy and Dave’s previous band “The Sparnetts” won the 2000 Golden Guitar in Tamworth in the “Vocal Group or Duo of the Year” category for a song that Wendy wrote called “Rollin’ Along”. They released 2 albums with that line up.

The Cartwheels have also released 2 CDs. I have attached an MP3 sampler of The Cartwheel’s music (including “Rollin’ Along”) for those who never had the pleasure of hearing them or seeing the band perform.

Guitarist Jeff Mercer will also be a part of the band. He played guitar in Slim Dusty’s band and was also a member of Rob Luckey’s band “The Lucky Bastards”.

LEE FORSTER BAND

The following week (Friday March 23) will be the launch of Lee Forster’s 3rd CD “Longneck’s and Rednecks” which is a duets album. More about that with music samples in next week’s email.

As always, keep up to date with what’s happening at The Guild via our website

As Vince Gill once sang, kindly keep it country,
