“WHERE’S THERE’S SMOKE” – Jimmy’s Bar & Restaurant, 17th Feb
Get set for a night of country music, some country boogie combined with a few old rockers just to get the place jumpin.
Where’s There’s Smoke is a 4 piece band with Kate Parsons singing her heart out as the lead singer, Mike Austin on bass, back up and lead vocals, Roddy Burgess on drums, backup and lead vocals and Norm Lembke wailing on lead guitar and lead vocals.
The band has many years of individual experience between them. Jimmy’s Bar and Restaurant will swing, move and rock on Saturday 17th February.
What to expect – a night of foot tappin, dance floor thumpin to some country classics plus covers like - Boots N All by Tania Kernaghan (Lee Kernaghan’s sister). We will perform 3 original songs, they are getting rave industry reviews.
While we want to keep the party going we do want to showcase Kate’s vocal ability so we have included the beautiful Blue the only ballad of the night written for Patsy Clyne but sadly never recorded due to her untimely demise.
And if that’s not all – Mike will lay down some Rock ‘N’ Roll like Blue Suede Shoes and Be Bop a Lu Lu etc. Roddy from behind the skins will belt out crowd favourites What’d I Say and I Feel Good. Norm is continuing the country flavour with a couple of Rolling Stones songs plus Jimmy Buffets famous Margaretville and even a Chuck Berry number. Of course there is a full repertoire of other songs but you will have to wait for the night to hear them.
We are mixing it up with some Nashville plus Australian Country music sounds to create – Where There’s Smoke.
If you are looking for a fun night come on down to Jimmy’s Bar and Restaurant, Saturday 17th February, 50 Frenchman’s Road Randwick starts 7.30pm. There is free entry, great food and plenty to quench your thirst plus – The Music!!!!!
