Melbourne’s own Andy Baylor will be returning to his hometown for a special Summer performance

Andy and the Hip Hillbillies will be presenting a Crazee Hillbilly Dance Party on 26th Jan from 8pm with an exhilarating blend of driving boogie woogie, swing, hillbilly hoedown and retro country fiddle....

Andy Baylor's Hip Hillbillies play music that is authentic, fun and highly danceable. Andy leads on vocals, fiddle, guitar (and the rare electric mandolin) tapping into his own western swing style that he developed over the years with the legendary ,much-loved Dancehall Racketeers. He has assembled some of Melbourne's finest exponents of string-band roots musicfor this show . With him are Professor Liam O'Connell on banjo and guitar ( equally at home with Dub, Hip Hop and old jazz), Swingin' Sister Sandra Talty (singing jazz drummer from the award-winning Sweet Lowdowns), Andrew "Moonshine" Scott ( recently returned from a world tour with head hipster C.W. Stoneking ), Dr, Jazz himself on cornet ,Ian Smith , and special guests including Sam Lemann on ukulele and -intimate jazz stylist , vocalist Alanna Egan.
