As front man and founder of The Moonee Valley Drifters, Tom Forsell is an institution in the Melbourne music scene. His music goes back many years and across the whole hill and range of the American experience, from his grandfather whistling Croatian tunes and his father singing Jimmie Davis songs to his student years dropping in on every rhythm’n’blues, soul or country music gig in the Michigan area.

The Luau Cowboys are an opportunity for a complete indulgence in the music he loves and grew up with: from hard country through to early blues, cowboy songs, cajun boogies, urban bluegrass, Michigan waltzes and even a little Hawaiian slack-key guitar.
