PETE FIDLER and JACOB McGUFFIE
Pete Fidler has been carving out a career as an in-demand musical sideman for over a decade. He’s known mainly for his dobro, or lap-slide playing, however he also picks a mean guitar and mandolin and has a long and complicated relationship with the banjo. He doesn’t play fiddle. Pete’s recording credits are extensive, featuring albums by Pete Denahy, Nick Charles, Bill Jackson and many others. Pete released his solo CD, “Buzz in the Room” in 2016.
Joining Pete is Jacob McGuffie, who has in recent years become known as one of Australia’s finest bluegrass guitarists. Jacob has studied with Bryan Sutton and Michael Daves in the USA, and records and performs regularly with Golden Guitar winners The Davidson Brothers. Jacob also takes lead singer duties in his own honky-tonk country outfit, The Dukes of Haggard.
