The Ramshackle band came about in 2005 when a few of the members were 'chewing the fat' at a party in Thornbury. Pete Holmes had all these great original songs dating back to the 80's that never had the right band to play them. And so The Ramshackle Band was born. 

With different members over the years, the current line up is Pete Holmes on Vocals and Rhythm Guitar, Jim Green on Lead Guitar and Vocals, Gerry Daly on Drums, Tom Rodd on Bass, Jamie Molloy on keys and Cat Moser on Banjo, Fiddle and Vocals.The ramshackles had their first residency back in 2006 at the noise bar, Brunswick.
Since then they have Ramshackled around various pubs in Melbourne. They have finally recorded all those rustic stories on an album titled 'rustic charm" The Ramshackles are performing at the Drunken Drunken Poet on fri the 12th of March 2017.
