Kristen Lee Morris has forged a reputation as one of Australia’s most unique and captivating country & blues musicians. His songs cut to the heart and on stage with his rusty guitar he tears the house down. Following his critically acclaimed debut solo record RUINS in 2014, and his much loved duo project with partner Sarah Humphreys, Eagle & The Wolf, he has toured the country sharing stages with the likes of The Blind Boys of Alabama, Charlie Parr, The Fumes, Kasey Chambers, Hayes Carll and many more.
“Morris blew me away with his raw blues and alt-country that kicked up metaphorical dust while at the same time cutting an emotional line straight to the heart.”– Post To Wire
Coming next is the complete amalgamation of his blues roots with his country leanings with the release of his second solo studio album HILLBILLY BLUES. Produced by the father of Australian alt-country Bill Chambers with a live band over two days, it captures all the swagger, heart and charm of Morris in full flight.
To celebrate the release of HILLBILLY BLUES, Morris is hitting the road. The tour features Morris in duo-mode alongside drummer Josh Dufficy (Grizzlee Train, Kasey Chambers Band) bringing the house down with material from RUINS, Eagle & The Wolf and the new album.
