The festival dates this year are October 19,20 & 21st of 2018 The Akoostik Festival is here to provide, improve and promote arts activities and opportunities in the Manning Valley. We aim to stimulate community involvement in the arts and enhance the arts profile of this regional area. We plan to deliver a sustainable artistic experience that benefits the community culturally and raises social wellbeing. The Wingham Akoostik Festival presents local and touring artists playing diverse musical styles. A mix of well-known Australian icons have performed on the Akoostik stages. Previous festival guest artists include Joe Camilleri and the Black Sorrows, James Reyne , Rick Price , Backsliders , Grace Knight, Bill Chambers, Deborah Conway, Doc Neeson, Richard Clapton, Wendy Matthews, Phil Jamieson, Kevin Bennett, Arabesk, Felicity Urquhart, Jigzag, Sara Tindley, Kevin Bennett and The Flood, Shane Howard, Afro Moses, Siskin River and Smokin' Joe Robinson plus hundreds of other regional touring artists. Wingham Akoostik Festival is a community based, volunteer powered event auspiced by Manning Valley Neighbourhood Services INC. The festival is a family friendly event! The live entertainment and workshop activities cater for all ages and interests.
