After finishing up a big Australian Tour, J.B. Paterson has returned to Melbourne to perform at the Union Hotel, Brunswick. Greatly inspired by the traditional players and composers of the last century - The Dubliners, Woody Guthrie, Nina Simone and Bob Dylan. He blends both folk & blues seamlessly into the modern day. At 23 he released his debut album "In a Short Time, This Will be a Long Time Ago" through London label Spiritual Records. It was recorded live, in a matter of hours inside one of London's greatest studios - AIR Studios. The album garnered some great attention, even charted in the UK Top 100 but was deeply the opposite to any album in the charts at the time. Upon returning home, he played his first festivals, supported big Australian names such as Cameron Avery (Tame Impala), The Audreys and more. All over the world, he has pockets of fans, listening to his songs every day and sharing his music.
