Former Terang resident and country music singer-songwriter Adam Harvey will lead an all-star line-up at the 2016 Terang Country Music Festival in March next year.
Harvey is a six-time Golden Guitar winner, with a number of ARIA Nominations. Born in Geelong, Harvey lived in Terang from 1998-2001.
The Festival, which is staged at the Terang Racecourse, will run across the weekend 18-20 March, and will include popular acts such as The Sherrahs, Tim Farren, Tracey Killeen, Davidson Brothers and The Grandsons of The Pioneers.
Other new artists to appear include Billy Bridge, Anthony Taylor, Rebecca Lee Nye and an up-and-coming young star in Kiara Rodrigues.
Harvey said he was excited to perform at the Festival and rekindling past memories.
“I’m really looking forward to it. We’ve got so many great memories of Terang and we look back really fondly on our years there.”
“The Festival has so much potential to grow in the next few years”.
Terang Country Music Festival Chairman, Ray Worland, said they are “thrilled” to land Harvey.
“We’ve been after Adam since the first Festival, five years ago, and are wrapped to snare him for 2016."
He will be performing at the day session and also at the Saturday night Hoedown, so the people will get great value for money.
Festival music organizer and country music singer, Ian Boyd, said he was elated to secure someone of Harvey’s reputation.
“I think being a well known performer; it will give the Festival a more extensive profile.”
Early bird weekend passes for $60 are now available until January 26, which saves attendees $20 off the gate price.
