Around 2013,  JD decided he might sneak one of his original compositions (Someone Else's Problem) into a live set.  He finished the song and a man came out of the audience and said, "You wrote that song about me."   Almost every time Jon subsequently performed that song, the same thing happened ... and he realised that people might actually want to hear more of  his compositions.

• Finalist - Northern Territory Song of the Year (2013)

• Shortlisted three years in a row for the Australian Songwriters' Association Australian Song of the Year (2016, 2017 & 2018)

• Shortlisted TWICE for the Australian Songwriters' Association Australian Country Song of the Year (2016 & 2017)

• Finalist - Australian Songwriters' Association, Best Lyrics for 2017.

​In 2017, Jon was invited to record a selection of his works in Nashville, Tennessee with The Kenny Rogers Band and is in regular contact with the KRB as he looks to return to Nashville for another round of recordings.  

JD is about to embark on a national tour with no end date ... and he'll be heading your way!!!
