The APPALACHIAN HEAVEN STRINGBAND is well known for it’s tight, driving arrangements of tunes and songs from the southern Appalachian USA mountains. These talented musicians play Americana, Vintage Country, and Old Time music ... from sensitive and driving fiddle tunes, dance tunes with curly toes, to cheeky songs and disarmingly touching ballads. The band includes Ian Alexander (clawhammer banjo), Sally Taylor (fiddle, vocals), Kim Wheeler (bass, vocals) and Graeme Fletcher (guitars, autoharp, vocals). They are back at Open Studio with their boots on!

Also KIMBERLEY WHEELER and ROADSIDE HOLIDAY including Tanya Bradley (fiddle, vocals). Roadside Holiday is a Modern Folk/Americana acoustic band that plays the original songs and some reworked traditional repertoire. The songs are moody and evocative, and presented in a spare acoustic style, compelling melodies, and with sophisticated vocal harmonies.
