Hi everyone,

NEW SINGLE

In the coming weeks, I'll be releasing a new radio single so stay tuned! Thanks to all radio presenters and audiences for all of your support, airplay and requests for my last single 'Get Back Up Again' which peaked at #11 on the National Country Music Radio Chart. I really appreciate it!

'ROSE CARLEO ACOUSTIC SESSIONS' with MARK TRAVERS - at LIZOTTES

Multi Award Winning Singer/Songwriter Rose Carleo , invites you to share an evening of music, discovering her latest album “Life Gets In The Way” in an intimate acoustic performance that captures the essence of the songwriter. The ‘Rose Carleo’ Acoustic Sessions , brought to you by Takamine Guitars, will open the musical diary that is “Life Gets In The Way”, discovering the songs and the stories behind the songs , in an ‘up close’ and very personal format.

These songs reflect a life lived – from a career that all started when an encouraging mum at an open mic night said to her daughter , “Go on , I dare you..”

“My songs are raw, earthy and emotional – but most of all they’re real. They come from a very heartfelt place, and I can’t wait to perform them live in this organic setting , the way I wrote them – on my guitar”

Rose Carleo’s trademark smoldering vocal, and well crafted songs have received national recognition, taking out the coveted “APRA AMCOS Southern Stars Independent Country Music Single of the Year” for “That Season Again”, “The ‘Blue Shoe Award’ for Best Album” as voted by the public, and more recently in February, winning the “2012 National Female Vocalist of the Year “in Whittlesea, Victoria.

Glenn A Baker personally chose Roses’ song, “That Season Again” to be included on his latest compilation release “It’s A Blues Thing” - released in Feb 2012 with Sony Music - “I am absolutely thrilled and humbled to be on this compilation – not only was it chosen by the one and only Glenn A Baker – to have be included alongside some of the world’s most amazing blues performers is truly overwhelming – I’m over the moon!”

See Rose Carleo, joined by Mark Travers, perform her highly acclaimed award winning album, “Life Gets In The Way” LIVE @ the ‘Rose Carleo’ Acoustic Sessions - “Go on ... We dare you!”

I'm really excited to be bringing our show to Lizottes in June and July with the incredibly talented Mark Travers. We're even giving away a TAKAMINE guitar! Bookings are essential - looking forward to seeing you there! www.lizottes.com.au

Hello again,

There have been a few changes to the advertised bands lined up for The Guild.

THE HAWKS – FRIDAY APRIL 20.

The Hawks feature 2 members of the famous Hawking Brothers Band, namely Leo Dalton and Doug Foley. Kerran Keats (the son of Les and Joy Keats) and Peter Westwood who performed around Australia in the Buddy Holly Show, make up The Hawks.

They still perform several of the Hawking Brothers hits in their show such as “Catfish John”, “Melbourne Bitter” and “One Day At A Time”. They also clown around on stage and it all makes for a great night’s entertainment.

THE DALTON GANG plus RENE DIAZ – FRIDAY APRIL 27.

This is one of the changes – Rene Diaz has been added to the night as a special guest and he will do a floorshow, backed by The Dalton Gang with a guest appearance from Ray The Hat Hasler.

Rene recently reformed his band Avalon and played for us and drew a good crowd. This should be another great night of real variety.

The other major change to the advertised line-up for next month is:

THE DALTON GANG plus DARCY LE YEAR – FRIDAY MAY 25.

We are pleased to announce that Darcy Le Year (lead singer of The Wolverines) has been added to the night as a special guest and he will do a floorshow, backed by The Dalton Gang.

As always, check our website for the latest information on The Guild www.northwestfm.org/countrymusicguild

Thanks

Frank

The Hallam Hotel is already a major live music venue, and continues to support and is regarded as Melbourne’s HQ for all country music. It has supported and showcased the very best of Australian Country Music including signed and independent acts.

It is only fitting that it should be the venue to host this impressive line up.

The Prairie Oysters and The Management of The Hallam Hotel saw a demand for an event that showcases local independent country music talent and to give fans an opportunity to see a line up of their favourite local acts on the same bill, in one day!!.

We are delighted to be back working with the Hallam Hotel to make such an event a reality and to help raise money for the Royal Children’s Hospital.

The Country Music Round Up is open to the whole family and fans will be treated to the most diverse cross section of talent on the day.
