It’s been confirmed that Prince William will be attending The Optus Gympie Muster, Spirit of the Country Music Concert for South East Queensland at Toowoomba Showgrounds. The free concert, which has been organised to raise the spirits of the flood victims and to reward the SES and emergency workers, has a crowd capacity of 20,000 and is fully booked out. Held next Sunday, 20th March 2011, the event is at the Toowoomba Showground’s and entry to the concert is only for those that have a pre-approved wristband secured through an online ballot (now closed). Only people that have pre-registered will gain access to the event.


The Prince will be attending as part of his official tour of the devastated areas in Queensland, Victoria and New Zealand and will be entertained by Australian Country Music stars including Troy Cassar-Daley, Lee Kernaghan, Kasey Chambers, Beccy Cole, Adam Harvey, Graeme Connors, James Blundell, Gina Jeffreys, Shane Nicholsen, Bill Chambers, Brendon Walmsley, McAlister Kemp and Catherine Britt
