Take a 10,000 acre wilderness park, throw in Australia's top country music talents, cowboys, bucking bulls, speeding 4WDs, utes, bush poets, kiddie rides, sing-alongs, fireworks and what have you got? You've got Mud Bulls & Music, one of Australia's liveliest festivals with everything in it for everyone.

This year, the 12th Annual Mud Bulls & Music Festival will be held from November 1 – 4 at the Landcruiser Mountain Park in Southeast Queensland, just under two hours' drive from Brisbane. There are seven scenic camping grounds, with amenities in four of the main areas of Cowah Falls, Trakka Terrace, The Gums and Fig Tree. You'll find wide-open spaces with 200 kilometers of tracks that are perfect for off-road driving.

The park boasts of waterfalls and creeks for freshwater fishing and swimming. It's an ideal place for mountain climbing, bush walking, bird watching or simply admiring the scenic landscape. But, in the first week of November, everyone's attention will be riveted on the Mud Bulls & Music Festival.

This year's festival will feature 30 Australian country music stars performing on one of three huge stages! They include:

• Troy Cassar-Daley • Beccy Cole • Adam Harvey • The McClymonts • James Blundell • Anne Kirkpatrick • Markus Meier • Steve Forde • The Sunny Cowgirls • Markus Mier • Jetty Road • Davidson Brothers

There will be a Country Talent Search featuring all States of country music, including Country Rock and Gospel, with prizes in cash and recording studio time for the winners. 2001 Bush Poet of the Year Jack Drake and Ray Essery will also be there to entertain everyone with the words and verse that are uniquely Australian.

For heart-pumping action, the festival will host the 2012 finals of the Bucking Thunder Rodeo pitting cowboys against massive bulls. Then, there are the 4WD competitions like the Go-to-Woe drag race down an inclined hill, the Super Rally X speed race and the 4WD Pursuit, an entirely new event for this year's festival. Rounding up the action is a 2WD and 4WD Ute Muster with prizes of $5,000 and trophies for all competing classes.

For the kids, there will be kiddie rides at Just 4 Kids, the Barnyard Babies, Southeast Queensland's popular mobile animal farm, and the Farmer Rob Show to get the youngsters singing and dancing. And, for the sheer fun of it, adults will get a chance to show off their wackiest costumes in Fashions of the Festival at the XXXX Club Country Bar.

A Meet 'n Greet in the creek featuring “Big Man” Adam Kilpatrick, Australian Songwriter and Tiara awardee Col Finley, Lee Forster and Optus Gympie Music Muster winner Seleen McAlister will give everyone a chance to rub elbows with some of country music's most popular performers. On Saturday night, a colorful Fireworks Extravaganza will bring all the fun and frolic of the festival up to the heavens, so to speak. There are many more events like the Bundy Rum Campsite Competition, an ARB Fridge Freezer Giveaway and an XXXX Gold contest with a free trip for four to XXXX Island off the coast of Queensland.

Put it all together and your trip to the Mud Bulls & Music Festival is one experience you'll never forget.
