Have the experience of a lifetime at the world’s most remote music festival, the Birdsville Big Red Bash in the heart of Australia’s outback! The three-day festival returns from 4 – 6 July 2017, at the Big Red desert dune near Birdsville, Queensland.

Now in its fifth year, the festival will feature some of Australia’s best-loved country and rock musicians. The 2017 line up features Missy Higgins, Lee Kernaghan, James Reyne and Mark Seymour, as well as performances by Ian Moss, Ray Ryder, Kate Ceberano, Russell Morris, James Blundell, Christie Lamb, The McClymonts, The Wolfe Brothers, Tania Kernaghan and Troy Cassar-Daley. Comedy duo, The Crack Up Sisters will MC the event.

The journey is all part of the adventure when getting to the Bash, with some travellers dedicating weeks on the road soaking up Australia’s quintessential outback locations and camping under vast starry night skies.

Getting to Birdsville and setting up camp in the Simpson Desert for the three day feast of music and family friendly entertainment, including desert drag races and indigenous craft workshops, has become a top Australian bucket-list event.

The Big Red Bash was voted Australia’s Favourite Event at the 2016 Australian Event Awards.
