Coal Miner’s Daughter pays homage to legendary singer Loretta Lynn with look-alike songstress, Amber Joy Poulton, shining the spotlight on one of Country’s most beloved performers through mega-hits and stories.

Amber is a multi-awarded singer-songwriter from South Australia with eight Top 20 Country hits under her belt and says:

“Loretta Lynn’s journey is inspirational as a superstar who rose from humble beginnings to be recognised as the First Queen of Country Music.  Her close friendship with Patsy Cline is beautifully portrayed in Coal Miner’s Daughter and the chemistry between Conway Twitty and Loretta was cause for speculation until his passing in 1993.”

Much more than a tribute, Coal Miner’s Daughter includes ‘friends’ – accomplished musical theatre actress Lizzie Moore as Patsy Cline and acclaimed musician Denis Surmon as Conway Twitty and Nashville’s #1 disc jockey, Sleepydog, and has recently premiered in regional Victoria to full houses with standing ovations.

Based in Brisbane, Lizzie Moore is an accomplished musical theatre actress who has taken her own show to London and appeared off-Broadway in both theatre and cabaret productions.   She has provided lead and backing vocals to numerous recordings and live acts, and toured her shows On A Night Like This and Cool Britannia.

Denis Surmon aka “The Preacher” has the natural ability to bring to life one of country music’s finest voices and revels in his roles as the narrator and Conway Twitty with Amber in Loretta mode.

Don’t miss this unforgettable evening of traditional and much loved mega-hits from three pioneers of the country music industry, accompanied by The Holy Men –

Coal Miner’s Daughter, Don’t Come Home A’Drinkin’ With Lovin’ On Your Mind, You Ain’t Woman Enough To Take My Man, I Fall To Pieces, Crazy, Silver Threads and Golden Needles, Walkin’ After Midnight, You’re Lookin’ At Country, One’s On The Way, Stand By Your Man, After The Fire Is Gone and more.
