RYAN ADAMS 3-01.jpg

Some of Melbourne's best local musicians coming together in a tribute Ryan Adams finest work. Including;
MATT JOE GOW - Very few artists wield so much charisma that they can sell you just about anything before you’ve realised what’s happened. Matt Joe Gow has the charisma to be one of those artists – but he isn’t.
Having performed around Australia from The Sydney Opera House to The Queenscliff Festival’s Blues Train, Matt prefers to concentrate on the conviction. You don’t have to listen to more than thirty seconds of Matt’s debut 'The Messenger' or new album 'Seven Years to appreciate that.
And that voice. Rich, resonant. A baritone cloak of many shades and shadows. A songwriter whose swagger has taken him from the dusty influences of Townes Van Zandt, Ryan Adams and others, to the swirling urban chime of electric, ambient pop . . . and now, back again.

GRETTA ZILLER - Gretta Ziller is an Americana Folk Singer/Songwriter with an ever-growing list of musical accolades. Her name may have more meaning at this stage in her career to the Australian Country Music scene having been a finalist in the 2016 ’New Oz Artist of the Year’ CMC Music Awards or placing as a finalist in the 2015 Toyota Star Maker awards. But just like Lucinda Williams she is as much a folk/blues/country singer songwriter, and her placing in the finals of the “Americana” category of the 2014 Unsigned Only & International songwriting competition is just another example of why Gretta is finding a multitude of welcoming arms for her blend of Country Folk & Americana music.

MITCH POWER - Mitch’s songs tell tales of friendships, travel and that feeling you can only get when coming home to Melbourne. His gently weathered voice matches the melancholy and romanticism of his songs

RICK HART - This multi award winning songwriter (2014 Songwriter of the Year, Australian Songwriters Association awards), delivers songs, often simple in nature, yet endearing in ways that will stay with you. Think the soulful tenderness of Van Morrison against the back drop of a CCR choogle or a Kris Kristofferson yearning hemmed onto a countrified Stones’ groove. Shades of Tom Petty, The Band, The Byrds and Big Star also provide influence. This is complimented by a softer, more reflective skin which he is just as comfortable in.

THE SIDESHOW BRIDES-
The Fibbins sisters hail from a little known town in the Hunter Valley, NSW.
Brought up around horses, campfires and a rich tapestry of music from their parents record collection, they were singing together from a young age.

They began finessing their own songwriting together crafting a blend of country, roots based music and packed their bags (literally two bags) and guitar and moved to Melbourne.

Opening supports have included Leah Flanagan and U.S country siren Elizabeth Cook. They also featured as backing vocalists for bands such as Dallas Crane, Dan Brodie, Burn in Hell and career highlight Tim Rogers,
From a quick self produced EP 'The Sideshow Brides' they were hitting local and international airwaves, becoming finalists in International songwriting comps and playing festivals and supports in and around Melbourne.
It's been a long wait but they are currently getting ready to release their debut album in March 2017.
