The Glorious North's debut album, ‘Welcome to The Glorious North,’ invites you into a whiskey-stained world of lost loves, loaded Lugers and booze-addled broken hearts. Early Paul Kelly, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Wilco are some of the influences you will hear echoing through ‘Welcome to the Glorious North’, creating a sound that is supercharged country pop. Lyrics to lead you into the beautiful darkness tell tales of small bars in the small hours and the sordid sins of lost and lonesome souls. 'Welcome to The Glorious North' is being launched at the Northcote Social Club on Sunday July 24, with support from Chuck Jenkins (Ice Cream Hands) and Jemma and the Clifton Hillbillies.
