Country-pop’s worst nightmare, The Bakersfield Glee Club, launch their third album ‘Where My Heart Broke’ on Friday July 29 at Johnny Ringos from 9:30pm.
‘Where My Heart Broke’ confirms the Glee Clubs determination to restore traditional country’s rightful place at the altar of the genre’s broad church and is a sermon for the country faithful longing for hard-core honky-tonk and an occasional cry-in-your-beer classic. The track list reads like tribute to the drinkers, the losers, the cheaters and the lovers lost whose stories will be live and faithfully rendered in the hands of these barroom veterans on the evening.
Leave a bit of leather from your dancing boots on the floor or take a seat at the bar for a night of toe-tappers including salutes to Bakersfield’s dearly departed, a little western swing and a whole lot of country.
